Urban School

This is an urban public school in Mexico City. As in the United States, the inequitable distribution of wealth is reflected in the educational system. These children mainly come from low to middle class families. Compare the resources and facilities in this public school to those that you saw at the Westhill Academy. Then compare them both to the rural school you will visit next.

This is an elementary school with first through sixth grades. There are 540 students at this school and 16 teachers. Thus, there are typically 30-35 students in each classroom.
